Sunday - Revelation 9

They were told not to harm the grass of the earth or any plant or tree, but only those people who did not have the seal of God on their foreheads. They were not allowed to kill them but only to torture them for five months. And the agony they suffered was like that of the sting of a scorpion when it strikes. During those days people will seek death but will not find it; they will long to die, but death will elude them. (Revelation 9:4-6 NIV)

I am grateful to our God, Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit. They have shown us the way via the scriptures. They even show us with a warning in Revelation of the wrath to come for non believers or half believers or those that just go to church on Sundays as make believe Christians and never engage. What a non-death above..., but a "death" that one never dies. The punishment for not being "full in" with your faith, for not accepting Christ as Saviour, for not doing what one can and are suppose to do for the Kingdom or simply ignorings God's Grace.

Thank Holy Trinity for Christ as Saviour, the Bible to guide us and warn us and for God's Grace. Amen

  1. Why would we ever harden our hearts to God when we know that eternal torment is the only thing we will receive from it. We might think it is worth it now, but if you know what is in store for you and still continue in sin, it is just plain dumb. All w have to do is open our hearts to the forgiveness god offers and we will be saved all of the pain and suffering that we deserve. We need to overcome our human nature and stubbornnes and let god lead us out of temptation and deliver us from evil so that we can spend forever and ever with him.
