Acts 21

After receiving the commander's permission, Paul stood on the steps and motioned to the crowd. When they were all silent, he said to them in Aramaic: (Acts 21:40 NIV) ...and the better part of the story is in Acts 22 as Paul begins his defense. Good commentary in footnotes about Aramaic/Hebrew languages. (in other words Acts 21 is filled with historical data and apostles from Paul's current and past travels but I found only Acts 21:24 to be of interest today. The purification rites, living in obedience to the law...more history but the NIV footnote was interesting.)

  1. I liked 10-14 and also thought it has to do with radical. If we knew that we were walking straight into imprisonment, torture, and or death would we able to face that and still deliver the message simply saying.."his will be done"?

  2. Great call out Ben. A point of interest is that HIS will will be done regardless if we have accepted Christ as Saviour or not. So the question of reality becomes, why do we resist and fight when we all ready know we should submit, humble ourselves, lead & share the Gossip for the Kingdom. Are we ready to have our skin pierced for Christ? What makes man so stubborn? ..."His will be done."

  3. from David Spanier's text --- I saw the blog you put up. Not sure how to write on it or whatever. But in acts 21 Paul shows how committed he was to following Christ and I think that g oes great with the end of chapter one in radical when we are asked to commit to acting on Gods word. I'm thinking about the first 15 verses or so.
